  • I did it!

I want to go back to Sunday morning, when the magic was real. 💕 When the all the women around me were royalty, and covered in pixie dust full of happiness. 💕 We ran, we smiled, we cried. Most importantly we all supported each other, with hugs and genuine excitement.💕 There is nothing like a RunDisney Race.💕

  • Eat your greens!

If you are anything like me.... I do not eat enough vegis regularly.... I mean I try I do... but sometimes.... I find taking @athleticgreens daily helps my GI and Gut health so much! It replaces my multi vitamin as well. My mom who is a marathon runner turned me on to it. This is not sponsored. "75 vitamins, minerals, whole-food sourced superfoods, probiotics, and adaptogens in one convenient daily serving. That’s it." -AG1 Also I am in love with my new red polka dot glasses!

  • Running in a crown!?

Planning on running in a crown princess? 👑 SUPPLIES: crown, (mine is from #amazon) hot glue gun, elastic ribbon, and a pair of scissors ✂️. STEP ONE: cut two pairs of elastic ribbon length on crown sides. STEP 2: What hot glue down the sides the crown and take half the elastic ribbon and press it down then you’ll have a hot glue on the other side and then wrap the other half of the elastic ribbon and push down on that side covering the entire metal arm of the crown repeat on the other side. STEP 3: now you need to kind of need to estimate the amount of ribbon you need for around the back of your head. You’re going to tie it in a knot on the headband doesn’t need to be fancy, you’re running and you won’t really notice it! ALL DONE: yeah you’re done now you put the crown on like you normally would and then the long piece you put on like swim goggles around the back your neck. Your crown is secure princess! Run Run Run with all your heart!

  • What is a flay lay?

Runner Talk | Flat Lay ?!? Since joining the running community I love learning things about the culture. For non runners its just a picture of your race gear to share on social. What I have learned though is, it makes race morning easier (its already together). Increased my excitement for the race. It's also part of a pre race ritual. The best part about flat lays? It gives you a reason to bond within the community. 💕 💕 💕 💕 💕 Whats better than that?

  • | New Pr |

This picture was not taken from this run time from yesterday. But it was taken when I felt the most pride for myself I have had in years. Earning these medals was not about that day or that weekend of races. They were for the months and months of hard work… I am proud of the hard work and that I didn’t give up on myself 💕

  • | All About Me |

Hi! I’m Amanda and this page will just me about me. Not my family, kids, dogs, work… just me. It’s nice to meet myself again after putting me at the end of my list for years. I know some moms can relate! Let’s talk about how this got started: (The running part) Summer 2021 was a low point for me, well a high low point. After taking a few years to come to terms and treat my new diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder with acute panic attacks…. Phew that’s a lot. I finally was in a much healthier state of mind. I was left with a physical state not in as great of health. At 5’2 I was overweight and had been living in denial about it. “It’s just baby weight” “it’s water weight from breast feeding” “it’s just from getting older” “I still look the same” “I’m just being too critical”… it doesn’t matter what the outside looks like I agree. But when the inside is not healthy…. I’m in the best shape of my life now and mentally still have some slip ups now and again… who’s perfect? About me: A long time ago I was a surgical ICU nurse in downtown Chicago. I worked nights. I was good at my job but it wasn’t “me”. I often had imposter syndrome. long story short I had issues with staying pregnant and everything that comes with that and stepped away from my job. I told my husband one day I wanted a sewing machine so when I finally had a child I could sew and make them Disney outfits. My dream was to raise them going there. On my 28th birthday my husband bought me a sewing machine 💕 He made a joke about having a store called “Sadie & Bean” named after our daughter and the "Bean" being the hope for another child. 6+ years later I finally live my dream. An office covered in what makes me happy, freedom to create and the freedom to move within my our hours. Sometimes we set out for one life only to let it guide us somewhere completely different. I hope to make friends who can support and love each other with common interest. I love Disney and support and love it has always provided me in my life. I hope you have a magical day! -Amanda ✨
